Oakton is on the east of Fox Mill On The Lake, west of Tysons Corner and Dunn Loring, and northwest of Annandale. The southern border runs along parts of Interstate 66 and Chain Bridge Road. The southernmost edge is at Moose Lodge and connects to the eastern border, which anchors through Willow Cres Drive, I-66, Villa D’Este Park, and Lee Highway. The edge continues through the intersection of the highway, Nutley Street, I-66, and through the houses parallel to Dellwood Drive. From here, the perimeter runs back to Nutley Street Southwest before connecting to Knoll Street Northwest, Ignatowski Environmental Engineering. The border continues to curve through Rhapsody Drive to Lawyers Road Northwest before angling to Difficult Run River. This point marks the northern boundary, which passes by Washington and Old Dominion Trail, Piney Branch, Angelico Branch, and back to the currents of Difficult Run. From here, the western border follows the Difficult Run River, where you’ll see Gabrielson Bridge, and Old Vale Road Bridge, until the edge connects to Waples Mill Road, back to the south rim, and back to I-66.
